There are times when a career that is glittering hides some of the most heartbreaking stories. The winner of the USA and World competitions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after many years of hard work and an sheer patience. Jones was born into a homeless family and had five children living in difficult circumstances as a child, had extremely difficult childhood. She was constantly traveling as well as having lived in the basement of a church for some period of time. The sporadic lifestyle forced Jones to change schools and attend the same school each calendar year, up to the point she started her high school. Jones left her mother to Theodore Roosevelt so that her to focus on her passion for track. She was a member of four families throughout her time at high school so that she could study in one place.
